I had a similar issue using soil Jason. My tank was much smaller (30L) so I did 10 WC or so, back to back, and it cleared up.
Will try man, not a very common thing, but I had diatoms a while ago. Stupid me used No Planaria and it killed all my snail and bacteria. :/
