Actualy very good :) thanks for asking.. I took out some plants or better say gave up on them and replaced with others,, Few new crypts some new emersed growth added. The enchinodorus is breaking the surface like mad and flowering..

And recently did batlle a very nasty Rizhoclonium outbrake i finaly did takle with a 4 day black out and i slight overdose glut.. Finaly increased the flow, high tech low flow is running on the edge all the time, gave up on it.. And added some extra amanos and some new ramshorn snails.. The last 5 days the tank looks spot on clean. I hope it stays like that. Actualy it's time for some new picture updates, i'll see if i find the time this weekend. But rather wait for the echinodorus to open her flowers, it's still only about a 10 closed flower knots..

Most remarkeble is i noticed a lot of new growth on the anubias nana and submersed leaves of the waterlily during the blackout.. These plants grow in the dark like mad.. :) Couldn't believe what i saw..

I hope i got it sorted.. A good astablished population of Rhizoclonium keeps lurking around the corner.. It seems one of the hardest to deminish totaly.
I'll wait for the Echinodorus to open it's flowers, wont take so long anymore. It's already slowly spreading it's knots... :) Tank pictres with flowers look so much more fun.. :)

Fascinating progression Marcel. Makes me want to do an emersed and submerged tank the next time.

Looks really good Marcel, especially the Emersed stuff.

I tried with my mobile as well the zooming , focus is very hard to master :)

Thanks Jason, the submersed stuff is still recovering from the last algae outbreak.. Unfortunately had to destroy a lot of the carpet to fight it off and get some flow back near the substrate, collateral damage :D. Fortunately the algae is under control again.. Also swapped some plants, placed a few new crypts, which still are very small and need to grow.. So there is enough to wait for to make another updated focused on the submersed part. And yes focus is really tricky when moving the camera around and use the zoom.. I did it with the camera on the tripod.. Shooting video from the hip is to shaky most of the times.. But found some stabilizing features in the editing program.. This actually works pretty good, but this feature digital zooms, crops and stabilizes. Taking the cropping in account while shooting should actually work very good with shooting video without tripod. But still have to test it all. Also takes a lot of time all this cutting and editing.. :)

    That is a beautiful flower.

What caused the burning on the leaves.

Keith, the dried out leave edges are the older leaves several weeks to months old, i guess the indoor climate in wintertime is a bit to dry for an immersed growing echinodorus. As you see it is quite big and high above the tank. I measured with an hygrometer even above a 60x30x30cm open top tank the air is relatively dry not rely exceeding 45%. And 45% is occasional the high number. Echinodorus after all is a tropical bog plant.. It's not a fert issue, since everything small very close to the water is in perfect health. as the video shows :) Recently saw a echinodorus on a window sill as a house plant, it was in even worse shape, the owner said that's normal in winter time indoor air is to dry. But it already stood there for years in a pot.

Yours should not be dry because of all the water below, it could be the heat from the light is drying it out.

Have you thought about having a very small fan to help with the air circulation?
