yeswaitnosorry That is a nice looking find my major concern is it will break down very quickly in your Frog pond. Keith
I will have to photograph it regularly, and document the disintegration of the wood, while the growth of plants hopefully proceeds. I'll try to photograph the tadpoles and the frogs. http://frogs.org.au/frogs/species/Litoria/peroni/
yeswaitnosorry Place a few rocks under it to lift it up so the underside of the wood this should keep it moist. What part of Aust are you? Keith
Hi Yeswaitnosorry, Wonderful find Don't worry it will take ages to rot down I have a couple of rotting wood pieces one is in my Grandsons frog tank another is in my 30cm Cube both have plants growing on them and doing well. Had to soak mine for ages to get the tannins out. As yours is in a frog pond it will be fine. Another thing I do is crush up a root tab and rub it in so the plants get all the ferts they need. But your one seems to be doing well without the ferts
Ah, well I do visit Melbourne sometimes, I have family there. Would be very interested to know the name of the place (in a p.m. if that is better).
yeswaitnosorry Its Garden World Braeside http://gardenworld.com.au/ You can even get a good meal there as well. They also have a massive car parking area Keith
