    Hello everyone!

I decided to start a journal to share with you my first Wabi-Kusa!
After seeing, on another forum, Greenfinger's WB, I wanted to try to do one! :D
So I searched on my house everything I could use to do one and I found an old damaged "bowl". There is some marks and scuffs, howerer, I think it's perfect, since it's just to try how to do one! :)

I haven't start yet, but it will be very simple! (I don't forget the Keep It Simple advice :D!). I choosed my usual aquasoil, ADA Amazonia, and I will see if it is working!

I will do it very soon these days! I will share my pictures! :)

    Looking forward to it Glom,

yes, "Keep it simple" or "Less is more" is a very good advice.

sounds very good, an individual piece...
also broken dishes can look gorgeous - isn't it Roy?
I would always prefer something individual if available

    Thank both of you!

Yes, I like the idea that even whether it's really damaged, it already has a life and this is a new one for this forgotten object! =)
I found stones to use, I just waiting to have finished my new Aquascape tank to start this! =)

Hi Glom, Great to see you have started a journal:cool:
Great tool to look back and see what you have done. Then think about how you can improve on the next one.
As to not perfect bowls & dishes-- Read somewhere ? Someone used to buy up all the missed fired pots from a pottery. Then export them to Japan and sell them at 3-4 times the price they paid in the UK "Nice little earner" the Japanese could not get enough of them. in Japan something not perfect is pleasing to the eye like odd numbers with rocks :)

Looking forward to seeing your first W-K :)

    Hello!

I am so sorry for my absences! I'm really busy here!

It will be like that all the Spring! ^^'

But anyway, I've tried, just to see how it is working, to make a Wabi-Kusa bowl with loam and it has worked! Without plants, just moss and soil but I was glad to see that it's not impossible to do! ^^
The only problem is that I'm supposed to go on vacations and I don't know if I have to start it before or after, in order to keep it wet any time. It will be complicated if I did it before!

But I'm happy to be there and to see all of your works, in waiting to share with all of you my Wabi-Kusa! =)

    See you soon! =)

I also suggest you wait and come back all refreshed.

If you are in the Country side look at nature its the best teacher and a very good place to look for mosses/stones etc.
