Thats great news, was wondering why he was so quiet, but didnt want to ask at this time. At least he is safe and getting well. Wont be long before he is back.
Nothing new from my aquarium front, mossgarden front too - in summer my interest are more gardening outside... I invite you to a little walk in my iris garden:
Evelyn Your beautiful garden is the complete opposite to ours. I intent to do as much winter pruning as I can which is a little a day weather permitting. Keith
Thank you guys I am glad, that you liked it. I am very happy about my chaotic garden, especially in this times... ok let's call it "natural", that sounds better... This year everythig grew like mad - especially the weed, too. It's ok - that will do, too.
I know what l have seen in my garden since lockdown by letting it grow wild a bit families of sparrows nesting in the ivy as are the blackbirds back in the bushes and in the "quiet area " behind greenhouse the Robins in a old hidden hanging basket. Wood pigeons visit to drink ,never a dull moment . Love your garden moss-maniac
Hello all I managed to spend a little time in the garden the other day. My job to do was heavily prune several small growing Maples. The wife said it looked like they all had a "Short back and sides hair cut". If lucky weather permitting I have more pruning to do even 15min a day would be better than none at all. On the plus side many bulbs have either started flowing or plenty have new growth and again if lucky masses of flowers very soon. We just had the shortest day great except it usually gets colder for a few more weeks to come. As far as my eye is concerned if lucky I will finish using the special eye drops late August. All I am asking for is a 1% improvement every day. Keith
That's good to hear Keith, I'm sure it'll keep on improving. We had our longest day the other day. It's been very hot 30 odd degrees yesterday and today.
Tim I have a clock radio and its only been the last few days I could read the time clearly immediately I wake up. The blind eye stranger still I can distinguish light, now nothing has been done to that eye at all plus no drops used. We are expecting very cold and wet weather for the next few days. Keith
Great to hear Keith it takes time, but it works. Beware of the cold! Our lock down became softer, but the people behave, as if everything wou be over again. IMmediatela the number of infections incresed again... I belong to the risk groups, for us did not change anything anyway - complete social distancing a s much as possible and the normal hygiene rules. Thank god is summer and I have my garden, this year I spend lots of energy in it and I feel happy. The roses are in full flower.
To all It's the complete opposite where we live very cold and wet practically every day. Garden some bulbs flowering, roses pruned and the Camellias flowering now. Keith
The average German do find it too warm or too cold outside like shown in this following graphic: There is a little difference between Northern and southern Gemany. For myself I think 15 - 23° C in the shadow is a good temperature to work in the garden, not too cold and not too warm. I think this is very different to Australia, isn't it?
Evelyn Because of its size from Tasmania to the tip of Aust plus from east to west there is a great difference every day. You can have snow down south in the mountains to a hot and dry high 30s in the one day. Keith
Is it so often wrong, Keith? Here more often than before, yes. They say, it's because of the less planes, that are flying in the moment, they can no more collect so many datas for the weather forecasts like before.
Evelyn I have an excellent system and it's usually accurate I go outside and have a good myself. The most accurate because of me hearing when a change is on its way the high pitch noise in my ears increases. We had a cat who would want to come inside several hrs before the change arrived. Keith
