General Info: A rather undemanding Crypt species. The Cryptocoryne Wendtii retains it's beautiful markings submerged and emersed. This plant adjusts very quickly to changes in the aquarium/terrarium. The plant's roots grow really long, so be careful while uprooting the plant as it may pull the substrate along with it.

How to place in your aquarium: A fast growing rosette, demands a bit of space in your aquarium and is best suited to be placed in the midground. This plant might not suit smaller tanks due to it's size. Co2 is not really required, but helps it to color up well with it's markings intact. Substrate is also not a concern as this plant is known to grow in inert substrates too. Propagation underwater is slow but growth rate is high. Usually, this plant looks good when placed against your existing hardscape, like for eg. in front of some rocks/driftwood.

How to place in your terrarium (emersed growth): Cryptocoryne Wendtii Tropica grows extremely well in emersed conditions. As with submerged, the plant adjusts quickly to emersed growth and leaves, as always, maintain their beautiful marking (new leaves are plain, though). The substrate needs to be moist all the while and humidity needs to be high for the plant to do well. Once the plant is completely adjusted, it grows very quickly, and quite often, a little larger than it's submerged size. Flowers appear very frequently and is a sign of baby plants.
