I have just finished cycling my new tank. ADA Amazonia, light sparse gravel topping, 8 gal., Aquaclear 20 HOB power filter (have an Eheim 2211 filter should I need it), TMC Aquaray mini 400 light, emergent fern in soap dish. No heater water at 69.4 F, do I need a heater? Have made four water changes in a month and will have water tested before adding fauna.Yesterday I gently removed and replanted a number of plants. Did not disturb substrate. I plan on introducing a few shrimp and want to add some small fish, perhaps Boraras brigittae, Danio margeritatus, and would like suggestions for another candidate. I will be doing 1/3 water changes R/O water twice a week. Would like to hear your comments, suggestions. I know volume is rather small, but I have been keeping 2 ottos, 4 neons, three glowlines, and a two generations of shrimp in a same-sized tank for four+ months, and all are healthy.
Rob its very hard to do something different in Aquascaping but I think I have done it with the 5ft Terrascape. Keith
