Cute little frogs keep taking up residence under the spa lid. I have set up a few ponds for them and move them whenever I find them. I worry about the spa chemicals hurting them, but they keep coming back. http://frogs.org.au/frogs/species/Litoria/peroni/ and finally placed in the rushes in the pond.
What a cute little fellow great photos yeswaitnosorry , my favourite is the first one It seems to be not frightened? Regards Ev
Yes, nice images. Are amphibians on the decline there like they are in many places? BTW- is that a Pearson's green tree frog?
A Peron's Tree Frog http://frogs.org.au/frogs/species/Litoria/peroni/ During the breeding season we can hear a lot of them. (in the links click on the Calling button to hear them.) And another species too A Striped March Frog. http://frogs.org.au/frogs/species/Litoria/peroni/ Our backyard is somewhat natural (hmmm!)
In our general area I don't think there are any frogs at all, a few klm away we have a very large swamp, now called wetlands and there is plenty of wild life there including our deadly Tiger Snakes. Keith
We have about a half dozen frog species and introduced bullfrogs. All are on the decline except bull frogs.
Rob We have plenty of Cane Toads to spare how many million do you require That is a big adult cane toad They have a natural enemy now our big black crows flip them over and pick their safe under belly. Keith
Wow Keith, never heard that before you mentioned it http://www.abc.net.au/news/2007-09-15/toads-fall-victim-to-crows-in-nt/670524 regards Ev
Hahaha Schwarzeneger Toad... What do they eat for breakfast, cats and dogs? Why didnt they use that toad for the catweazle series!?.. Awsome animal! Thanks for sharing..
There are other methods a good heavy boot or a driver golf club. As they are often on the roads cars/trucks do a good job as well. Keith
