Two flowers from my garden: Rose de Noël" which means "Christmas' Rose" and it is a Helleborus niger! "Perçe-Neige". (Is it called snowdrop in english?) :smile-new:
Hey glom looking nice, looks like spring is on its way? I have some crocuses and daffodils just starting to show.
It's been an enough sweet winter so yes, it looks already like spring in France! Can't wait to see leaves on tree!
Glomeridae Can you add the name of the plants please. You have come to the right place to show your garden plants off. Today March 1 is our first day of Autumn, we still have plenty of flowers and the Autumn flowers are not that far behind. We will be getting all the Autumn deciduous trees colour very soon naturally every thing is depending on our weather. The wife is picking fresh flowers every morning at the moment. Keith
Hi Keith! First, flowers' names: the first one is called "Rose de Noël" which means "Christmas' Rose" and it is a Helleborus niger! The second one is called "Perçe-Neige". (Is it called snowdrop in english?) and it is the family of Amaryllidaceae. I'm sorry, I don't know which species it is! Keith, if you have the opportunity, I'll be glad to see pictures of Australia's Autumn! I've finally achieved to add picture on this forum, so I'll be glad to share other plants' pictures! Besides, I have a little "water basin" that I'vemade with my brother, we try to keep it very natural since there is not a lot of natural water for insects in my neighborhood! In summer you can see a lot of insects as butterfly, dragonfly, etc...! I'll share pictures if you want! =)
Hi Glomeridae, Great Photos. Spring is on its way :cheerful: Looking forward to seeing the photos of you little nature pond :encouragement:
Glomeridae Hellebores grow like weed in our garden they are dropping seeds every year plus the plants are getting bigger. They might get a little general ferts like every thing else in the garden several time a year. Here are a few of my Hellebores Hellebores Burgundy Green Hellebores White-Green Hellebores White Burgundy Speckled Hellebores Wine tonings. Hellebores Green-White Hellebores Apple Green. Keith, they are wonderful (the Hellebores White-Green is amazing!)and seem so healthy! I'm sure you take perfectly care of them! Thank for the advices! It was my mom's present from me for Christmas, so I hope it will grow up well!
Glomeridae No they grow wild in the garden I use them as a ground cover, never prune them or give them special care. Keith
Great flowers my dear gardeners, what about showing a bit more of your whole gardens to get an impression? Now it's my turn: News from my garden front
Our garden is down at the moment, the cold weather is not far off but in late Autumn and early Spring the garden is always at its best. Some of the Camellias are starting to flower now and always gives us a good shop and plenty of house plants. Keith
Moss maniac, you have a really beautiful garden! =) I'll do photos of my "little nature pond" as soon as I can, when it was sunny, I forgot and now it is raining!
Thank you very much Glom, you make us curious!!! It's raining here, too - after a few really summer like days!!! But now spring is no more to stop - everthing growing outside is exploding...
Our garden is far from the best a few Camellias are in full flower and plenty of bulbs have started to shoot. Its cold and wet but fantastic for the garden. Keith
Thank you Jason, but the stream also means almost yearly floods all over the garden... (sometimes up to 1 m high) But it's worth the price - nobody can build between my house and the free landscape...
