Hello all, Inspired by Keith's thread, Sharing pictures of the flowers from our garden: Orchids: Dendrobium Phalaenopsis Bulbophyllum Adenium: Saussurea obvallata: (the flower is actually white. This blooms only at night, hence the picture is full of distrotion/reflection) Hope you all like it. Cheers, Karthik
Karthik I do not know how this was missed. Your growing conditions are totally different to ours those orchids could possibly be grown in heated hot houses. The smaller Aussie Dendrobium will tolerate snow in the winter to extreme heat in the summer. I have a few Slippers growing inside on the kitchen ledge and are flowering beautifully. Keith
Wonderful flowers Karthik, I have also some orchids, but only behind the kitchen window. In summer it woud be possible to put them into the garden, but I don`t do that, they flower well in the house, too and I do not have to carry them around. It is enough with the other not hardy pot plants....
