Evelyn do you know any thing about that lighting?
I suppose, it is just a simple pendant lamp, you can see this on the third photo, Keith...
Perhaps used with a dimmer plug?
I did see that light and it fitted perfectly, it would have to be perfectly sealed from any moisture.
Maybe the light was only for the photo on the glass Keith,
hermetospheres grow easily only at the shadow window, too.
More stuff - don't forget to scroll down:
I saw similar glass containers with a few plants in them (best way to describe them) up to $300 a few days ago at a nursery.
so you can see, how much our work is worth
unfortunately nobody wants to pay $ 300 to me for it, yet...
There is another big garden supplier in a very up market area exactly the same would be $400 easily.
Maybe we should have an extra thread for Hermetospheres....

Evelyn now its a matter of locating them and getting them posted to me.
Looks like they are not selling them yet but when is the question.
The best I can do is a container and a small LED desk lamp
Our local gardening hardware store
Boah, a bit expensive... Keith?
what about IKEA?
Maybe it is also nice, to use a LED floor reading lamp...
It looks, like he used down lights on the vases ? They would have the advantage of being closed and so to be more water proof.
But on a shadowy window you will not need a lamp at all - just turn the glass all a few days to the light.
I never use lamps - but I would urgently need many more north windows
On the west windows, where I have a twin wall sheet roof outside -
it is no problem with the sun heat there in the vases (also with little aquariums on the window sill -
perhaps it also would help just to put such a sheet between window and the glass container to protect from too much heat?
Evelyn I saw a very similar light at the garden hardware shop this morning.
I will possibly set it up in the bathroom the only other position I have is in the kitchen but the power outlets are used a lot where as in the bathroom not used at all.
suddenly "War of the Worlds" came into my mind....
Well seriously, the lamp looks very good and is flexible over the whole length.
I will be getting it as soon as I can and growing a fern or what ever I can find at the nursery underneath it.
