Spring has just started and our garden is at bursting point with the flowering bulbs just about ready to pop open. Daffodils and Jonquils Golden Daffodil. These are in a new garden I created by extending to next doors narrow nature strip. White Daffodil in a different area. Helabors they are growing faster than weeds and during the hot summer they make a perfect green ground cover. More Helabours the large red Camellia flower in the centre of the photo was self sown thanks to the birds always in the garden. Keith
Wow - wonderful daffodils Keith - my favourites are the double white ones and the tiny yellow with orange middle on the first photo. What about about a very close photo from the filled white daffodils? And please a nose full of the flavour, too.
Evelyn All of these are Jonquils. Difficult to take photos at the moment very overcast and windy trying to hold flower where possible and camera for a close up. jonquil golden jonquil erlicheer jonquil erlicheer jonquil white Keith

Tim Marg would call that the English Cottage garden. It certainly has plenty of colour. Our Spring garden is always packed with colour and different every year plants multiply and new seedlings start growing. Keith
That's pretty much it, colourful perennials at the front and shrubs at the back as a backdrop and to create interest during the winter. I think it's my default setting. I love Gertrude Jekyll's, and Christopher Lloyd's style of gardening.
Tim We follow the Marg style its called "Find a suitable space and plant it". Once established and the seeds spread we never know what will pop up. When you have the same plant in different colours, the new seedlings colours can surprise you. Keith
Tim Thank you. We also have this Strelitzia it would be very close to 5-6mt with a trunk at ground level of about 40cm and, has not flowered yet. It is not that far from flowering. planthttp://www.bambooland.com.au/strelitzia-nicolai-giant-white-bird-of-paradise. Keith
