Here I will present my "mossariums" - moss-garden and wabi kusa style works. And because I'm getting on over my head with all aquarium and garden forums soon I also have my own blog for all, who want to have a closer look to my works and ideas... Aquarium, garden walk, etc. Much more of my moss gardens you find especially on: http://moss-maniac.blogspot.de/search/label/Moosgarten Mossgarden No. 1 Material collection In Winter... I hope you enjoyed it a bit and I am already looking forward to your comments, too.
Another "Terrascape" With a glass lid it is easy to care for it inside the house... Shadowy place and misting from time to time - that's all! The normal daylight in the room is enough for the moss, tillandsia and lichen... Don't place it in the sun!
The mossarium looks great how long did it take to get to that stage? ----------- http://wabi-kusa.com - http://atyidae.com
They are immediately at this stage Jason, cause I collect at first the mosses, plants, rocks and wood and finally put all together then. It's more a problem to keep them in this stage if it is too warm, too wet or too dry, too sunny or too dark, etc... - but if everything is ok, such a mossarium is very easy to keep, because it is an almost closed system, like a bottle garden... On the right place it will not have problems, if you are going on long holidays and leave it alone.
I just put in here again the old "album" photos - to have my mossgardens all together... Moss Garten II Mossgarden III Cellar Window Moss Garden IV - 2014 Moss Garden V - 2014 Moss Garden IV - 2015 from above More detailed infos you can find on my blog moss-maniac - Moosgarten
Evelyn Not one of Moss Gardens have a hint of you made them, they all look as if you have found a little pocket of nature and photographed it. If they were Aquarium Aquascapes you would be up in the top rankings all the time. You are certainly the Undisputed Moss Master. Keith
Wow, thank you very much guys - too much honour Keith, moss master you can call me, when my moss gardens grow steadily over a lot of years in a tank as well as in nature... on the right place this should be possible.... At the moment I still do not have this (always too sunny - an empty carport or so would be great), so it's not easy to keep all sorts of mosses running really over years. Inside the house it is normally too warm in winter. But at least mossgarden No. IV from spring 2014 grows like hell, as you can see above - all mosses still there!
Realy great and lovely moss gardens Evelyn!! I'm totaly with Keith, it's masterfull. That cellar window is such a creative and unique idea, it made me smile from ear to ear.. haha. I guess you're the only one having it. We had suchs windows in our old house, but this never came to me. I remember my dad closing it from the inside and filled the hole with dirt so he could pave the top and gone cellar window.
