Hi there! I wanted to show you my first Wabi Kusa. I set it up this evening, so the picture is up to date The hardscape is dark pagoda, the substrate ist Dennerle soil, the used plants are Micranthenum "Monte carlo", Bacopa australis, Pogostemon erectus, Anubias nana "Petite", Rotala mexicana "Goias" and some Vesicularia and Riccardia. There are that many plants cause I want to see which plant grows good under this conditions.
Hi Andy, Looks great The only plant that may not do well is the Rotala As it has a thin stem?? Looking forward to seeing this one in about 8 weeks
Looks great with the hardscape and great photography. The same reason I used so many plants andy. How are you covering it to keep humidity? Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Thanks! @Roy I think the Rotala fits well, cause it's a very small one @Jason I don't cover it, just sprinkle it 2-4 times a day. All plants I used are allready grown emersed
Hi Andy, "Rotala" I Look it up on Flow grow It not the plant i thought it was.The one you are using grows much shorter than the one i was thinking about.Should look fab Lucky you to have this plant Rarely sold over here
Hi there! The first Wabi Kusa is doing well, the plants are growing without any problems. Cause it works better than I expected I did my second Wabi Kusa I'm addicted now... The second one has the same basic set-up than the first one. First layer is lava gravel, than comes Dennerle soil. The hardscape is mangrove wood, the plants are Myriophyllum mattogrossens "Red", Rotala indica, Rotala rotundifolia, Bacopa australis, Eleocharis pussila, Riccardia spec. and Vesicularia dubyana. All plants are allready grown emersed.
This looks great andy I like the way you molded the wood around the bowl. If you need any help with your addiction see roy
Hi Andy, You are Addicted Now Same here This is another little stunner. I love the shape and form to the DW Your Photography is superb i love the shadows
Andy Any chance of a photo of the Anubias it could be A nana petite or A nana x petite. Could you some this I can get a reference from please a rule would be the best if possible. Re the second photo you have created a natural wind swept look about it with the location and positioning of those two rocks. One word of warning its a very dangerous "Addition" and can only be justified by doing more pieces of beautiful work. Keith
Hi folks! Thank you very much! I'll see, maybe I post some pictures this evening. This is mangrove wood Don't tell me such things...
Hi there! Little update of my first wk. The plants grew well the last weeks, it looks very nice here in my living room
Hi Andy, That is a super Wabi-Kusa Mate Have you thought about entering it into GAPLC W-K comp Only a few days left to enter, 31 August is the closing date. I think it looks wonderful bet the judges would too :encouragement:
Hi folks! Thanks a lot! Unfortunately the wk does not longer exist It died while I was on holidays in australia. Too bad. But I'll set up some new in the near future, because this little thing was really fun.
Andy Blame us poor old Aussies. That is the problem when going away trying to get someone to look after your plants. Keith "catnap"
