Tim Excellent use of the Mock Tank. Its easy to see another wonderful well planned KIS Aquascape under way. Keith
Thanks Keith...I'm getting some feedback that the wood is too big and dominating. I disagree, the wood gives the scape height and provides a 3D surface for planting. Once the scape is planted it won't be anywhere near as prominent. Although, I'm determined it won't be lost under a mass of moss
Tim The one very basic point in all design work is being able to visualize the finished work. This just does not happen to every one its something that just cannot be taught and learnt. We are lucky we can do it. I expected a few comments when I posted my reply too, as I often mention a piece of DW or rock/s just do not work simply because of its size Keith
Tim Having a complete break is a very good thing reason being your brain has been rested and therefore you could look at it totally different. Keith
Tim An excellent well presented video. No distractions on the top of the cabinet. The large rock at the front will look 110% better as it ages or are you going to soften it with a little moss? Keith
Thanks Keith, now you mention it that rock is a bit dominant, but I kind of like it that way, at least for now; that may change. Plus the camera angle makes it appear even more so.
Tim That is a massive water change, how often will you do that? I can see the benefit, it would completely refresh the new tank. Are you treating the water first including water temp to reduce any plant shock? Keith
Just once in a while. This time its more for practical reasons; I have to re-level the cabinet I'm not overly concerned about water temp, so long as it's in the ball park. I use my hand to gauge the temp.
Hello Tim Is there another way to test the Temp? Its one test I did when feeding every morning. I picked up a few faulty heaters over the years doing it that way. Keith
I suppose I could use a thermometer, that is if I had one. My hands are in the water every day, But I guess you're right, I should really buy one.
