    Hi All,

I started growing plants in natural sunlight and here's how it looks 1.5 months after I started it:

    34117746902_71217b2969_h.

Plants added: Anubias Barteri, Anubias Nana, Hygrophilia Pinnatifida, Tenellus, Cryptocoryne Sp., Reinckii Mini, Ludwigia Palustris, Staurogyne Brown, Ludwigia Arcuata, Ludwigia Glandulosa. Whew! That's it.
Substrate: garden soil topped with JBL Manado.
Lights: about 12 Hrs of Sunlight ;)

    Hope you all like it!

    Cheers,

    Karthik

There are many that cannot grow those plants under fully controlled systems you get a box add garden soil put in the sun an leave the rest to nature just like they do in the wild?

    I wish I could click a wonderful LIKE:clap::clap::clap:(y)(y)(y)

    Hi Guys,

This is how the tub looks after a month of neglect- I had some hectic work related travel!

    35150395175_6c5a325399_b.

Thankfully, there is no algae bloom. Due to the filter failing and absolutely no fertiliser dosing, the stem plants seem to have melted off. Although I feel lack of water change is the main culprit.
I am happy to see the other plants do well. I plan to rescape this; will keep updating.

    Cheers,

    Karthik

Do you have any plans or is it still in the "Think Tank" mode.

    Hi All,

Shifted some plants to a new tub. Anubias, cabomba, hygrophilia difformis and some crypts are in there.

First glance I thought you had built something totally different but quickly realised it was a tub looking down.

(y)(y) This looks very nice Karthik,
it is a pretty pot, too. Like it very much!

Now I regret, that I planted my big waterproof container on the verandah with summer flowers and tomatoes...

Originally I bought it for submersed plants, too.
But here I have to remove them and also the water during winter.

In the beginning I used it for water plants... but I did not have so many pretty underwater-plants.
Now I will try it next year again! :)

I have converted many outdoor "pots" to submerged tubs right from my childhood. :D My mother always used to hate me for this.
    It is fun, though.

    Cheers,

    Karthik

Thank you guys, I am glad that you like it -

Your plants developed much better outside Karthik. (y)(y)

A week ago I had to empty the tub because it becomes cold - at the moment I am happy that it is winter gain and I can rest a bit. ;)

:love:The 3 tiny little Shubunkin goldfish (2 cm) came back to their big relatives in the big waterlily pond outside to come safe through the winter.

If you had an outside tub in my area they would cook its only 33+ at the moment and in Adelaide South Aust its only 36 today and that is not the tropics either.
