How do you fight plant pests? Do you submerge plant and drown them, use pesticide or do you even repot a plant?

What pests are you fighting and which method are you using?

    Thanks

Hi Michal interesting post as ive just found a few what I beleave are eggs on a stem plant ive just rinsed it in water to remove them but this would be to much work to do if I had them on the whole tank.

    Anyone else have any suggestions?

Pests as in creatures, insects that may hurt the plants / eat the leaves etc.

Been thinking about this and I spoke to someone that confirmed that submerging the plant for a day does work and drowns the pests but if you have eggs you need to do this for longer or redo every other day until all pests even the newly hatched ones have gone.

This is a good thing about using an aquarium for emersed plants as you can fill the tank and drain it the day after?

Garden pests are totally different as you can spray etc all your garden plants and next door could never look after their garden.

Indoor plants check before you buy them and if required treat as required before you plant them in their new home.

With my aquarium plants I soak them for about 30min in a "Hydrogen Peroxide Solution" about 10ml to 2-3 lt of warm water, then wash them under a running warm running tap.

    This should kill any nasties.
