You are a true moss maniac, Ev. If you will notice, I also have a bag of excess Fissidens on left upper corner of my sump.
Here are a few closer images of my moss:

It looks more like a very soft delicate fern.

Began to have a blue green algae problem, so gave it a dose of excel and this is the last day of a four day lights out. If this doesn't work I will carefully dose with peroxide and maybe lights out again.

The treatment seems to have worked. Now will get some green fire tetras tomorrow or the next day.

Here's one of my six green fire tetras. Still immature but more color will develop.

Keith: Right now just keeping an eye on them. Will let you know how they do up here in the Sonoran Desert. Yesterday we actually had about 5 minutes of rain and temps plummeted into the seventies!

Keith, Boy, That's a few degrees higher daytime than we've been having here and I can't recall ever having a nighttime temperature like that, even in mid summer. Our skies are mostly clear so the heat dissipates into the night sky. I take it that the heat is coming in from the North instead of being influenced by Antarctica.

Just got a small bit of Riccia fluitans and have put it in the tank to see what it will do..

We are only 7-10k from the ocean which usually means a cool southerly breeze late afternoon but lately its coming in early next day.
Yes we often have cloud cover during the night its like a massive earth blanket.

    Grow well for you.

Had a small resurgence of BGA and treated with H2O2 this time. My fissidens and java moss is not looking good. I think I might have over fertilized. Will cut back.

I would remove all the not looking good stuff then give it a few good water changes with plenty of water movement.

It might help but it looks like the damage has already been done.
