:cheerful: to you, too!
Nordstern, we miss you in the forum!!!
Where are you?
Here is my mini Moss Garden its about 150sq cm in the corner of the 45lt Bay Window Terrascape.
The moss came from a hanging basket that once had a small leafed Maiden Hair Fern that I lost but it looks like I have young ferns growing ever where.
I started pulling them out but I had a change of mind, I left every thing alone to see what happens and, this is the result.
Look great Keith, so natural and a bonus with the ferns
Do you have some hi res photos of your scapes I can use for the site header Keith? Pm me if so please minimum width of 1600 please.
I'm after anything related to the site subjects.
I guess it's a Cardamine Keith, maybe Cardamine hirsuta?
I have never seen or heard of Cardamine hirsuta
I just checked the old hanging basket its that stinking weedy little flowering thing its sends out runners every where and once it starts its practically impossible to get rid of it completely that will take over every thing if I don't keep removing it.
I only kept it hoping the fern would return later today its a bin job
Little White flowers, but a shame about the invasive part
If it gets out of control I will find some moss elsewhere either home or the garden shop.
Moss Maniac? How about this?
found at pinterest.com..
It looks great but in my opinion that heavy piece of wood is rather distracting.
I saw this gorgeous riparium tank on facebook, too, Marcel -
I am sure, that the big wood is covered green soon, too, Keith.
you find on 14.6.2015 there:
Wow!! Thanks Ev!! This is totaly crazy .. Actualy didnt expected it was so large, only found that one pic above..
Pfew almost everything there is out of this world..
Like this one..
Marcel there is a plenty of planning and detailed work in those two designs.
Ev a little update on my submersed Mnium hornum and other haircap experiment. You might find interesting.
It still is holding on and growing, very slow but grows and propagates.
this is the haircap, the new green shoots it all developped submersed..
and this is the mnium hornum, same story all young green shoots are also developed submersed. This one grows faster than the haircap from above.
Have you yet tried again??
No Marcel, at the mmment I have tow work hard on my house on serveral builing sites... and do not find much time for any expriments. Would become too much for me.
But I watch, what you find out, whenever I find time
Oh!? Yes now i remember you said before.. That you're in the middle of very bussy times and doings and such. Sorry for asking.. I hope your buildings go as planned and find free time soon.. So you can moss yourself and us again.. Good luck with what ever your building. ill bet its going to look great..
Thank you Marcel, it will!
I will show you, when it becomes more calm here...
... just to give you an impression
changing the veranda rotten baulks undet the floor and parts of the fence and floor, too...
the new front baulk is painted blue already...
also the whole roof has to be removed and some of the baulks and all of the rubber seals has to be renewed ... the old ones are destroyed by the sunlight, which shoud not happen, but it did, because of an production mistake
much more work than it looks like...
